Comparison of China's Steel Imp.& Exp. in the first half 2016&2017

According to CLIK’s analyst, the significant drop in steel export in the first half of 2017 might result from three factors.

One is the increasing anti-dumping measures by major trade partners including India, Europe, etc.

Another is that China closed over 42.39 mil tons capacity (by May,2017)which has led to the higher domestic prices and less incentives for mills to export.

The third is due to square bars, the major export. Found out to be billetsin most cases, they were almost banned for export by the Chinese government.
