<< Back China issued a ban on importing some kinds of products from North Korea.

China’s Ministry of Commerce and General Administration of Customs made a statement in the No.40 Announcement (2017) that from August 15th 2017 China will be banning the import of coal, iron, iron ore, lead, lead ore, aquatic and seawater products from North Korea. From 00:00 on September 5th 2017 all customs formalities related will be stopped including the goods declared at customs but yet to be cleared. The above mentioned products will be prohibited from import, except the coal of non-North Korean origin transshipped from Rason Port of North Korea confirmed by exporters from reliable sources. China’s enterprises importing the transshipped coal must before customs clearance inform the Committee of the Security Council established in accordance with United Nations Security Council resolution 1718.
